Our Delta dentists at Ladner Village Dental understand that adjusting to eating while wearing your new dentures is going to take some time and practice. To help you get started, here are a few soft-food suggestions from our dentists.
Meal Planning For People with New Dentures
Following your tooth extraction, and when you first get your new dentures, you will need to stick to a diet of liquids and soft foods as you adjust, and your mouth heals.
To prepare yourself for this period of adjustment our dentists recommend that you stock your fridge with soft-foods before the process begins. Stocking up on soft foods you enjoy, and preparing a few ready-made meals will help you to continue eating well, while you get used to your new dentures.
There is a huge selection of soft-foods that can be used to make fast, delicious and nutritious meals, such as avocado and scrambled eggs, macaroni and cheese, lentil dal and rice, or soft cooked tofu with noodles.
